It is official, S Key Gamers have become the first Saviours of Azeroth on Saurfang! As you would expect from an end of expansion encounter Madness of Deathwing was a difficult fight. That being said the worse part of this fight is the nature and length of it. As it stands this fight comes fairly close to a 15 minute encounter, even worse the mechanics for around 11-12 minutes of this barely change but become consistently more difficult to deal with, this repetitive nature make it very easy to lose focus likely causing significant damage to the raid. The second phase while not significantly different from normal in terms of mechanics the simple throughput requirements for healers especially gets absurd the nearer to a kill you get. Furthermore this phase needs extremely tight control of its various mechanics so that you do not face an overwhelming number of mechanics at any one time. While we took significantly less attempts to get this than Ragnaros it is commonly agreed that Ragnaros was preferable considering that every phase bought a new interesting challenge.
Thank You to everyone in S Key Gamers who made this possible, The selflessness displayed by many of our members in agreeing to sit out for the first kill and not raid while we worked on this is truly incredible, so while the people who got the achievement may have ultimately killed Deathwing, it truly was a full guild effort!
Fantastic work guys!

Honorable mentions
Brynny - I must give Brynny an honorable mention for the sheer amount of effort he has placed into the guild since its formation. In Dragon Soul Bryn not only did an extraordinary amount of research outside of raid time but also continually stepped up to do almost all raid calls, especially when a fight is 15 minutes long this can be an exhaustive job when you have to do it time and time again.
Bbedk - Just as Brynny has put a large amount of effort into our success Bbedk has invested a great deal of effort to research possible variations of strategies that could work for our guild, it is through his tireless efforts that we have been able to race ahead as we have.
Ushio - Ushio has put a great deal of effort in behind the scenes. His more visible contributions include never forgetting to provide consumables to the raid, something that he has certainly bested me on when I tried. His other less conspicuous contributions include assisting his fellow officers in sorting out any problems as they arose with great tenacity.
Greenwaffle - Greenwaffle has been an incredibly selfless player in that whenever he was needed to fill in for someone else for a night or part thereof he was always willing to do so without complaint, ever better when it came time for that other person to regain his spot Green graciously stepped aside, in doing so being an important reason why we managed to kill Heroic Deathwing when we did.
Define - Define is perhaps the player who sacrificed the most during our attempts, unfortunately since we did not wish to change the roster from the players we used in the kill Define got very little if any face time with Heroic Madness at all. Never once did he complain about this while always allowing himself to be called in should it have been needed.
Kleeton - I would like to thank Kleeton who always put in 110% to assist the guild whenever he could. Kleeton consistently put his own personal needs below those of the guild as a collective.
All this being said everyone in the guild has put in an enourmous amount of effort to get us where we are today. I can never be said that one member of our team ever slacked or did not do what was in the best interest of the team when it was needed. The above list is just those who from my perspective distinguished themselves in their absoloute unwavering loyalty and selflessness to the guild.

Well after only a few weeks Spine of Deathwing has fallen to S Key Gamers. This fight is according to some in the guild (not all though) incredibly tedious and boring with a nice hint of frustrating. The main problem with this fight is that the mechanics themselves are not terribly interesting with the fight mainly being about pure numbers, that is DPS numbers, specifically burst dps numbers. Prior to the nerf this made class stacking of the best burst classes optimal and in many cases neccessary. What made this fight worse is that we mainly wiped in the later stages of this fight negating 10 minutes of progress requiring us to spend yet another 10 minutes to reach that point and get slightly further.
Unfortunately for us due to 4 or so weeks of interrupted or no progression we were unable to get serious face time with this boss before the nerf came down, However the time that we did have allowed us to sporadically arrive at the third plate and experience almost the entire fight. After the nerf you can certainly see that the burst dps requirements are lesser on the tendons lessening the need for all strong burst classes. That being said this fight is still not faceroll at all. The fight requires precise timing on several mechanics such a corruption breaks and kills, copious amounts of healing during the last tentacle burn on the tanks especially and a generally heavily focused raid. A single mistake on this fight can cause a wipe.

After only a few days of progression attempts S Key Gamers has managed to secure the server first Warmaster Blackhorn Heroic kill. Our kill attempt started off unremarkably enough, just like all the others and it was only until after we managed to kill Gariona did the fight seem any different. After Gariona died the raid was extremely focused with nobody making a sound and everyone working their twitch reflexes with not one person dying to a mistake. We managed to kill the boss quite comfortably without real enrage problems. Good effort by all involved, keep up the good work!
-

After taking a rather substantial break over the Christmas/New Year period and a little more S Key Gamers has gotten back into killing stuff. With the first boss to go down after our break being Heroic Ultraxion. In true S Key Gamers style we decided to make this boss significantly harder than it is by having people lag out on fading light and dying and others simply disconnecting at the worst times, hell we even had one person manage to screw up his key binds on his Razer Naga. All in all our kill was amusing to say the least.

Well it has been a fantastic year for S Key Gamers and we would like to share the holiday joy, So have a great holidays! Remember to be very naughty!

Heroic Hagara has been squashed by S Key Gamers like the buggy encounter she is. Without a doubt the most difficult heroic mode this guild has encountered this tier it was made exponentially more difficult by the sheer amount of bugged mechanics on this fight. From times when it seems the server could not do math by one shotting people who should not have been to refusing to chain lightning totems at all and forcing us into a relatively quick wipe due to this we have finally destroyed this encounter!
This encounter if it was not bugged would be an excellent test of a guild''s ability to execute a strategy extremely quickly and without mistakes, on this boss mistakes really do kill.
Good work all

This boss is certainly infuriating with the amount of RNG you must deal with with the order of the slimes. On this boss their are some very difficult variations to deal with and the irritating part is when these combinations are used back to back. We eventually tailored our strategy to reduce the difficulty of some combinations but one combinations in particular had extremelly ursty damage that was almost impossible to heal through. Definately an infuriating fight with us having both a 4% wipe and a 20k wipe before the final kill.Raid Team

Well we went in today ready to beat on Heroic Zo'nozz fully prepared to wipe for a long time. This bosses enrage timer is brutal and the healing needed is no better. However hard this was we persevered and managed to get this boss in under half the night. With each attempt getting us slowly closer the pure determination of the group ending up allowing to kill this boss a few seconds after enrage.

Well after just one hour we and apparently many other guilds can report that we have killed heroic Morchok. This fight did not at all seem difficult after figuring out the order to deal with stomps and crystals. At times it appeared some mechanics were bugged however this only created a minor annoyance that had to be overcome.
Overall this fight is a very smple and easy boss. It appears that the next few bosses will be significantly harder from our initial glances at the fights. Good work all, I look forward to pushing through more bosses!

Firstly I would like to apologise about the severely belated post. Unfortunately I forgot to get a screenshot which made me to lazy to do the write up before now.
Dragon Soul normals were for the most part quite disappointing. With us one shotting many of the bosses with little difficulty at all. The only bosses worth noting are the following.
Ultraxion - While this fight is not at all difficult it certainly is interesting when UI's become bugged and one of your DPS can no longer do any damage for the rest of the fight. Let us hope that these UI issues do not resurface during heroic mode or we could be in for a very hairy situation.
Madness of Deathwing - This fight is the most 'difficult' out of all the normal modes in Dragon Soul. It is amusing to note that we were initially doing this boss wrong when the tank were not using the yellow attack speed debuff circle on the last phase on Deathwing, using that buff makes the last phase significantly easier than we had previously thought.
-
Well it is that time of the tier again, it is time to recap on how Firelands has treated us both as a guild and a raid team. This summary will include important details of how we worked on each boss as-well as some interesting statistics at the end, similar to our previous tiers write-up.
Normals
With normal modes there is not much to tell really as we rushed through this within 3 raid days.
Shannox was one boss that is certainly noteworthy as a normal mode, in true S Key Gamers style we had developed a strategy involving a forced tank threat swap making the fight significantly more difficult than was at all necessary. Furthermore honorable mention for that fight has to go to Greenwaffle, who was the only person alive for our first kill after everyone died horribly to multiple things including traps, even though his death and subsequent ankh was probably the reason so many died in the first place.
Ryolith is another boss that deserves a mention, only at the end did we deserve our license on that boss. It surprising we did not kill the boss from the whiplash we caused him. To say the least, our first kill was amusing, although I think the healers have another word for that experience.
Ragnaros was another noteworthy boss, Although all I can really say about this fight is that it was the most difficult on the normal modes to kill. Compared to the other bosses this boss took an entire raid night. Some of the wipes on Ragnaros were also quite amusing with people running into lava waves or standing in engulfing flames.
Heroics
Shannox as a first heroic boss was not to difficult at all. We were required to work out an effective strategy for this boss regarding how to most efficiently break face rages and how we should use the crystal traps. However, all in all out of all the heroic modes this would be no doubt the easiest, and quite frankly not much of a step up from normal at all.
Ryolith was the next boss we tested our mettle against. Like our normal mode kills getting the steering down was something we really struggled with, in fact all through the patch this had to be one of our weakest bosses. It certainly did not help that we kept changing callers due to people not being loud enough, or not calling frequently enough. The entire raid team was ecstatic when we first killed this, and for good reason as well.
Alyrazor was the next boss we decided to attempt. The main problem we had with this fight was the the tornados with some people deciding they liked the pretty red tornados. But in all honesty even this really was not a problem for us at all. This was yet another boss we stormed over.
Majordomo was the 4th boss we killed on heroic. While we knew of the 'cheese' strategy for this boss we had practiced with the more difficult version for a fair while. However, that being said even the difficult version was not very hard at all, if memory serves this boss required 20 attempts to kill, not a bad effort at all.
Baleroc was our next boss that we decided to attempt. The major obstacle in this boss was perfecting the raid calling so that their was no confusion about the most irritating part of this fight, countdown. A poorly executed countdown caused us to wipe several times due to us having no dps available to take stacks.
Beth'tilac was perhaps the most difficult fights of Fireland's heroic modes with the obvious exception of Ragnaros for us. We initially tried this as our first heroic kill hoping to be within the first 10 in the world to defeat this boss. However we soon discovered that in our gear this fight was incredibly brutal. When we finally returned to this fight with significantly more gear we proceeded to 6 shot this and it never offered another problem since then, however, I could not have suggested doing this fight (pre-nerf) without significant amounts of normal mode Firelands gear at least.
Ragnaros was the most brutal fight this guild has ever faced. Before the nerf we had trouble in phase 2 while on occasion pushing to the 2nd transition phase. Without the nerf the adds were extremely difficult for our composition to kill and the phase transition was worse. Post nerf we immediately noticed the difference with us consistently pushing into phase 3 and working on only getting one meteor. We found that getting only one meteor was the key to making this fight significantly easier, as such we focused most of our efforts on making sure we could do this consistently. Furthermore phase 4 adds an entirely new dimension to this fight with the initially harsh soft enrage of dread-flame and the small margin for error with geysers. However, after 340 attempts we were finally victorious to the furious roar on vent.
I would like to offer a honorable mention to all those who have contributed to our sucess in the Firelands and thank them for their effort.

S Key Gamers is currently searching for a skilled and dedicated Shadow Priest/Warlock or Ret paladin. What we expect of potential applicants is listed in the application forum, however, one thing that I must emphasise is that we expect your application to be detailed enough for us to get a good sense of the type of person you are. If your application is so bad that I can match it by smashing my face against the keyboard we do not want you!

Well after 340 attempts on heroic Ragnaros and a serious amount of dedication from the guild we have gotten heroic Ragnaros! This fight is the ultimate test of effort, coordination, skill, RNG and persistence.
This fight is the most gruelling experience this guild had ever experienced, our previously most difficult kill which was Heroic Nefarian in T11 could not hold a candle to this. This fight required massive amounts of effort to slowly get through the phases one by one and master them until our last major difficulty, dread-flame and geysers were overcome.
On our final attempt everything went perfectly our phase pushes were spot on with us not requiring a battle Resurrections at any time during the fight. Excellent effort by all, server first!
The following is a single quote from each of our member on their impression on the fight and the guilds progression in general (mostly anyway).
Brynny - An RNG Bitch. With dread-flame spawns in Frost Patches, Traps spawning under Rag, Death grips Resisting, the list can go on. I guess it takes that one attempt where the RNG just goes your way! <3
Beliskner - I would like to say that throughout working on this incredibly difficult and gruelling fight I have never been so happy to be in this awesome guild. Throughout the many difficulties we have faced my fellow guild members have always persevered, keep it up!
Bbedk - The most complex fight in WoW by far, with each phase feeling like a whole new fight, while you theorycraft and plan your way through it and execute it (hopefully) perfectly. In the end, for our kill, it really does feel like we've defeated 6 completely different fights, without mana breaks, or 6 bloodlusts, etc. Overall, great fight, and just gotta say...feral druid and Blood dk ftw? lol jokes.
Runs - The only thing I remember about the large majority of this fight is the huge dps push for one meteor and yelling at my god damn class. No KM or RE procs? Come on!!! A fun fight pre and post nerf, the nerfs just made the phases we already had smoother.
Triangle - Fun experience overall, WTS Geysers.... -_-
Judgé - All I can say is that this was an amazing fight, I'm glad you guys let me come back for the kill.
Kåty - The hardest boss I've killed in my raiding career, great feeling to finally down him after so many wipes. I'm so proud of this guild, we set ourselves a goal in T12 and we have accomplished it! And i got to heal (*cheer*)!
Truthy - My epeen is so big right now and you're meant to melee meteors, right?
Kleeton - Purple! Getting globalled is fun!
Greenwaffle - *claps* well done blizzard for creating an amazing fight. The amount of dedication and difficulty the fight took was extraordinary, I had to shoot my social life in the face for a few weeks to get some more practice on heroic rag. Blizzard really made this fight spot on, they actually made this fight Heroic. There was one point in the 340 attempts where I was considering killing Truthy with all the fail he brings to S Key Gamers. On that note S key gamers recruiting rogue who doesn't lag, fail and says sexual things to the other members that will haunt you forever. Gj guys!

Well the final boss before Heroic Ragnaros is dead! We initially tried this boss immediately after killing Ragnaros on normal mode and we decided after only getting it to 75% that we needed more gear and the other bosses would be easier. We certainly were right, every other boss (except Ragnaros) was easier with Shannox being the easiest.
We tried this boss again still expecting him to wipe the floor with us for atleast a few days. Well you can imagine our surprise when he died on our 7th attempt of the night, especially considering our previous attempts were incredibly sloppy to say the least.
With easily going into the final phase at 75% boss health the last phase ended up being significantly shorter than we had anticipated. This was also because the drones were going into the second phase only needing 5 or so seconds to kill where previously we had two up and we had them up fo atleast 45 seconds. Ironically we ended up killing the last ~25% with one of our tanks dead and bbedk having to one tank rather heavy damage.
Good work team!

Well what a fun fight heroic Baleroc is. After having our previous raid night marred by illnesses and lag it was a nice change to see everyone at the top of their game. Upon changing our strategy to better fit with our compisition we managed to get this boss down on our 7th attempt.
Our kill attempt was fairly humurous with me nearly losing my sanity at one of our raid member after not swapping for crystals. Also in hindsight during the last few seconds of the fight trying to be overly cautious ended up working against us with somebody accidently getting the debuff prematurely forcing the crystal to swap to someone who also had the debuff. Even with 2 deaths with one battle ressurection we still managed to beat the enrage timer by roughly 10 seconds.
All in all this fight is fairly annoying with the RNG of possibly giving healers the debuff because of countdown leading to only one healer on the tank for decimation blade which can be deadly. However, all in all this fight really is not that terribly difficult.
Keep up the fantastic work everyone!

Due to recent events it has come to my attention that we are in need on a skilled and dedicated hunter and a warlock/shadow priest. If you think you have what it takes please feel free to apply on our forums.
Remember to read all of our applicant information as not knowing what is laid out in front of you is no excuse. Also read our minimum requirements.
Note - We currently have people trialling for these positions, feel free to still apply, however, your application will need to be good for us to consider trialling more than one of the same class at any one time.

What an absolutely fantastic effort by all on this boss. Everyone performed their role to the standard that I love seeing each and every week. Congratulations to everyone who took part in this kill, keep up the good work and soon we will be 5/7 Heroic and further! This boss has fairly easy mechanics in theory, however, In practice these mechanics will hit severely hard, with same requiring significant pre-emptive planning if you plan to survive them. Healing cooldowns were certainly rationed very tightly with this fight with not even one going to waste. DPS checks were also very tight with us being very close to the enrage, both soft and hard.
Keep up the great work fellas!

News just in! Alysrazor has been killed on heroic difficulty by S Key Gamers. Several sources in the team agreed that while a very fun and fairly difficult fight it all came down to execution (including the execution and subsequent rebirth of a certain mage and shaman).
But in all seriousness it was a fantastic effort by all with several low percent wipes leading to our very nice kill. The key to this fight is making sure not to panic and handling all the machanics. While this fight has rather simple mechanics in theory in reality the punishment for not doing the mechanics correctly can be very severe.
the screenshot will be incoming later on tonight. Good work all!

S Key Gamers is in current need of an exceptional hunter for a core DPS spot. Please note our minimum requirements located here. After you have understood our requirements please read the applicant information located here and copy/paste the application template onto a new thread on the applications forum and complete it.
If you are not serious about raiding with us, do not bother applying.

Congratulations to S Key Gamers and the epic effort we all have put in to kill this boss. After many attempts gradually learning the strategy adjustments from normals we have suceeded in killing Lord Ryolith on heroic mode. While the strategy itself is not terribly complicated it required everyone to be almost perfect in their performance with very little margin for error (especially when it comes to steering the boss). It is unfortunate that I could not be there for the kill (damned computer ). Keep up the good work guys! Beth'ilac next!

After 2 day of progression this week S Key Gamers has killed its first heroic boss. This fight while it does have simple mechanics theoretically the problem comes when you try to put this is action. As the fight progresses it becomes progressively more difficult to consistently reset the various stacking abilities on the boss and the dogs. Futhermore there is very little margin for error with face rage which can be a problem if you can not get a critical strike of in time. Our first nights progress was a little sluggish with us changing strategies what seemed like every 3 attempts. However on the second day we tried our final strategy change and this proved to be the most effective, allowing everything else to fall into place.

I would like to announce that effective immediately I will not be making any further additions to the guilds front page blog "This Week In Raiding". While it was nice to do this over the last few months I have found it becoming more hassle than it is worth. I will still be updating the guilds future raid kills and this will in no way affect the guild in game.
